Understanding Reiki

REIKI is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy. The Japanese word Rei describes the universal boundless aspect of this energy; Ki in itself is part of the Rei, bringing the vital life force energy that flows through all living things.

Reiki is a simple and powerful process. The channelled energy flows to wherever it is needed in the body; stress is released, there is deep relaxation and a feeling of profound well-being for the receiver and the practitioner.

The Usui System of Reiki evolved from the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui, a Christian Professor of Theology who lived in Japan in the last century. Through extensive travels, research and meditation, he developed a hands-on healing system based on ancient teachings in Sanskrit. He spent the rest of his life practising and teaching Reiki.

In the Second Degree, you learn absent healing. Reiki Two energy works very deeply on the mental and emotional causes of dis-ease. The Second Degree places great emphasis on adjusting the etheric rather than the physical body that is the focus of Reiki One. It tends to stimulate the intuitive centre that is located at the pituitary gland - the body’s ‘telepathic centre’. After the Second Degree initiation, this centre seems to become sharper and more focused and as a result of this process, the Reiki Two students often find themselves more aligned to their Higher Selves.

USUI REIKI Level 1 Course - £195

The Reiki Level 1 course or First Degree is taught over two days. In order to work with and become a channel for Reiki, you need to go through the First Degree initiation ceremony which will comprise of 4 attunements that are undertaken on a one-to-one basis; one on the first morning, another on the first afternoon: the third on the second morning and the fourth and final one during that second afternoon. Each attunement is a unique personal experience, which will raise your frequency, increasing both your spiritual and universal awareness. These attunements supercharge the student and raise their energy vibration to the peak level possible with First Degree Reiki.

USUI REIKI Level 2 Course - £200

Reiki Level 2 course or Second Degree is taught over two days. In order to work with and become a channel for Reiki, you need to go through the Second Degree initiation ceremony which will comprise of 2 attunements that are undertaken on a one-to-one basis; one in the morning and 2nd in the afternoon on the first day.

Second Degree is much more powerful than First Degree and some of the sacred knowledge of Reiki is imparted to you at this level. Where the attunements of First Degree aligned you, the Second Degree attunement empowers you. Second Degree is a major tool in the transformational process for those on an accelerated spiritual path. It can also be used for planetary and personal issues.

USUI REIKI Level 3 Masters Course - £550

The Third Degree has two levels. The first is Master Therapist level and the second level is Master Teacher. Master Teacher is for those dedicated to teaching Reiki and to devoting their lives to Reiki.

In the Third Degree, the lower energy centres are opened and attuned. This is the first step to becoming a Reiki Master. This Degree is for those who have completed both the First and Second Degrees and have been actively using Reiki. The time lapse should be at least six months after taking Second Degree and two to three years between First and Third.
